The Craigellachie Speyside

Aberlour, United Kingdom

Built in 1893, where the rivers Fiddich and Spey come together, the small 26-room hotel stands at the very heart of Speyside and its malt whisky trail. Macallan and Aberlour are two of the hotel’s closest neighbors.

Speyside is the largest whisky region in the world with over half of Scotland’s distilleries and the Quaich bar is one of the world’s leading whisky bars. With over 900 whiskies lining its walls, The Quaich is the perfect setting in which to enjoy a guided whisky tasting or a modern twist on a classic whisky cocktail, mixed by our expert and locally renown bartenders.

Wild salmon fishing on the Spey with our local Gillie is but a short walk from the hotel’s doorstep; for which many guests return year after year.

If you love to hike let us point you to the beach at Lossiemouth – miles of white sandy beach and dunes that stretch as far as the eye can see – or up to the top of nearby Glen Livet.

Once you’ve built up an appetite, pull up a chair beside the fire in the hotel’s cozy Copper Dog pub for lunch or dinner. The fare is strictly Scottish with produce sourced from Speyside where possible, and our drinks range from local beers, to handpicked Sancerre wine from friend’s in the Loire valley, and great whisky cocktails.

The Craigellachie feels like a countryside family-home and we we invite you to make yourself at home here.
