President’s Day is upon us and, coincidentally, the country is getting ready to nominate and elect the 45th Commander in Chief in November.

You probably won’t get serenaded with a stirring rendition of Hail to the Chief on the first tee, but the resorts participating in the promotion promise discounted rates, preferred tee times, some kind of Presidential amenity and other extras.
Omni Barton Creek
For instance, at the Omni Barton Creek resort outside Austin, Texas, the state that gave us Presidents 41 and 43 (George H.W. Bush and his son George W. Bush) the “Father-Son Presidential Promotion” offers a round of golf at the resort for the $100 rate that was in effect when President Bush 41 held office (1988-1992). Guests will also receive a sleeve of balls with the American flag and turndown cards containing famous quotes from the two Presidents.
Omni Mount Washington Resort
This summer, you can enjoy the Donald Ross course at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. The delightful course occupies a secluded valley in the shadow of the Presidential range, beneath the peaks of Mount Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and others. The promotion includes unlimited golf with cart and if you can find four golfers who share their last name with one of the presidential peaks, you’ll play for free.
Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort near Jacksonville, Fla., is offering a “Running Mates” package, with a special twosome rate, $50 culinary allowance, and an optional upgrade to the Presidential suite.
