Buckinghamshire Golf Club

Found in Denham, the Buckinghamshire Golf Club is an idyllic 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse. The golf course was designed by legendary Ryder Cup Captain, John Jacobs who went to great lengths to turn the estate’s rolling parkland into a mature and challenging golf course beyond its years. Testament to the quality of The Buckinghamshire is that it has hosted many previous professional events over the years. These include: the Anderson Consulting World Match Play, European Seniors Tournament of Champions hosted by Gary Player and ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters. The club also has the honor of being the Home of the Ladies European Tour.

His skilful use of the natural features and local topography, allied to the devoted skills of our greenkeeping staff who present the course to the highest standards year round have meant that our course has quickly become recognised as one of the finest inland courses in the British Isles.

The Rivers Misbourne and Colne ensure that water comes into play on seven of the first 12 holes. It is a tough test from the back tees but an enjoyable one. One of the strengths of the course is that the greens are 40 to 45 yards long, so simply altering the pin position can change the character of the holes completely.

With the words of John Jacobs himself: “You want a golf course to be a stern test but at the end of the day it must be one that even a bad golfer can enjoy.”
Course stats: 18 holes, 6880 yards, par: 72
