Kyle of Lochalsh

Departing Keith this morning, heading west along the Moray Firth towards Inverness, the capital of the Highlands.

Aboard the train, enjoy lunch as you pass by stunning landscapes, including the Torridon Mountains and Loch Luichart. The journey continues through Achnasheen before ascending to the Luib summit and Achnashellach Forest, descending to Strathcarron.

Here, you can visit the Attadale Gardens, with its impressive Water Garden, Japanese Garden, and Sunken Garden. After exploring the gardens, enjoy light refreshments with your hosts, the Macpherson family.

Alternatively, stay on the train and continue to the picturesque village of Plockton, where you can take a boat trip to see the colony of wild seals and enjoy the magnificent views across the bay to the Applecross Mountains.

Finally, retire to the train in Kyle of Lochalsh, gateway to the mystical Isle of Skye, for overnight stay and a formal dinner with coffee and liqueurs in the Observation Car.
