Tis said a man’s home is his castle. Why can’t a castle be a man’s home, at least for his vacation? (Or a woman’s, for that matter?)

Visit a nearby whiskey distillery. See the places where Scotland’s long and storied history comes alive. Set up an off-road driving experience in a Land Rover. Visit a local falconry school and learn about birds of prey. Get a tee time on the local course, even if it’s one the pros play during an Open Championship. Fly fish for salmon in the local loch or stream, or join a hunt for grouse, pheasant or other seasonal prey. All of Scotland is your playground, and coming home to your own private castle makes the experience all the sweeter.
